Eliminating the Unnecessary Self Improvement

Such a slouch

A few months ago, I read an article in “Real Simple” about the bad habits that people have. Things like fidgeting, slouching, constantly running late and gossiping made the list. This week, I’m touching on some of my bad habits and what I’m doing/not doing to try and fix them as I Eliminate the Unnecessary habits.

I have this awful habit of just sitting in my office chair anyway that is remotely comfortable. My feel might be flat on the floor, they might be tucked under my body. They might be wrapped around under the chair, who knows. What I do know is that this can doa number on your back, neck and shoulders.

Since I’ve been in physical therapy for some type of shoulder injury, the therapist has been working on improving my posture. She said the main culprit of neck, back and shoulder pain is poor posture. But there are little exercises that you can do throughout the day to help strengthen the muscles and keep the pain away.

I try to do that on a regular basis to help keep my muscles from tensing up and my neck pain free. I’m hoping that if I do this regularly, I’ll be able to strengthen my back and keep my posture in good shape all the time.
