Review: Car magnet gets the word out about FindingMyBlog

Advertising my blog? This never really occurred to me. I guess when I started writing this, I put it out there hoping someone would Google some keywords and BAM, instant reader. I’m not even sure my family knows this blog exists. However, when someone from a car magnet/banners/cheap sign company contacting me offering me a product to review, I started to think maybe I needed to start.

I was offered one of their products to advertise my blog and,  in return, they would give a product away to one of my readers. I browsed SignsOnTheCheap.com, BannersOnTheCheap.com and MagnetsOnTheCheap.com and couldn’t really find what I thought would be appropriate for my blog.

I mean, a banner on my front lawn would probably annoy my neighbors and I don’t think anyone would pay attention to an election-type sign this time of year. Then there were the car magnets, but I couldn’t imagine Finding My Blog taking up so much space on the side of my car. I e-mailed my contact and asked if they had something that was, say, bumper sticker size, and they did.

I got right on it. I decided to design my own because I wanted to use my site header, slightly modified. The designing process was so easy. I used my logo and put the text on top of it. It was easy to select colors, fonts and everything else. There were many pre-designed templates that just needed to be filled in as well.

The ordering process was easy and within a week, my magnet was at my door.

It’s great quality, hangs on to my car well and gives me a way to spread the word about my blog, which actually scares me a little. Will this one little magnet bring me more readers?

Hmm, maybe I should do a better job proofreading from now on.

  1. I think I’d totally use it for my blog or classroom! (Which reminds me of all the things I wanted to make for my classroom and the clock is seriously ticking on them!)
