My favorite things: Mobile Phone Accessories

Thinking of buying the Samsung Galaxy SIII for a family member this Christmas? Or, are you one of my family members looking for a gift idea for me? Check out these cool phone accessories from Verizon Wireless. They’re great gifts for the techies and non-techies in your life.

Fit Bit One

I have a Fit Bit. I got it last year for my birthday and it was great motivation to get my daily steps up, spend some time burning calories through movement every day and keep an eye on how much sleep I’m getting. The new Fit Bit One is really similar, but it looks a little fancier and it syncs up with the online interface through Bluetooth. That’s a pretty awesome feature to get a look at how you are doing throughout the day. Not to mention it has a silent alarm to wake you up. I need that. I nearly pass out anytime an alarm clock chirps in our bedroom.

Zepp GolfSense Sensor

While I’m not a golfer (although I can tear it up at the driving range. Literally, the mats, tees and ground are generally well torn up when I’m done.) this looks like something some of my family members could really get into. Using a lightweight sensor that attaches to your golf glove, this device monitors your golf swing through and app on your phone. Maybe I need one. It certainly couldn’t hurt my golfing ability. But I’m thinking I might start with a golf glove. I don’t have one of those. Maybe purple….with glitter.

Panasonic Solar Charger

Now how col is this? Using this little charger you can help keep your phone from running out of battery at an untimely moment. Not to mention how eco-friendly it is. And if the sun doesn’t come out until March, no big deal. You can use your computer USB port to charge it up and provide power to your phone.

Tagg-The Pet Tracker

So our Newfoundland never runs away. He’s too lazy. However, Lucas, our mix breed, does. This little gadget would help us keep tabs on him. It uses GPS and wireless technology to allow owners to track their dogs’ locations, receive texts and emails when the dog leaves the area, and tracks your dogs activity level. This one does require a monthly fee of around $8 for service, however if you are constantly tracking down your missing pooch, it might be worth the investment.

Crayola DigiTools Delux Set

I got my daughter an AquaDoodle and the accessory pack. Now I feel like I’ve just purchased an original Nintendo or something. This accessory is great for your little ones. Using a digital crayon, stamper and a 3D tool, your kids can create pictures all day long using iPad or other tablet. And the great part is, it comes with a carrying case to keep it all together.

These are some of my favorite accessories. I’d love to have any of them. However, I was not compensated by Verizon Wireless for this post. I just think these things are cool.
