Around the House Giveaway/Reviews Products I Love

Giveaway: Glade Expressions products *Ends Friday!*

This is my dog. Well one of them.

They want to go outside

He’s the big dog of the house. He eats big, he poops big and he makes his presence known with tumbleweeds of hair and, sadly, a lot of dog smells. We get him groomed regularly, but at more than $100 a pop the groomings are generally saved for special events.

When I walk in our house, I don’t smell dog. But I know others do. Especially my mom. I know she smell it because she tell me “Your house smells like a dog.” Thanks mom.

But it’s like when you go to a friend’s house and they have cat. Sometimes it’s not a huge deal. Other times you wonder if maybe the cat’s liter box is actually in the room with you. And sometimes–it is. While you might not notice the odor in your home, you do like to know it smells fresh and clean, right?

Well, Glade is helping with that. The new Glade Expressions products can turn your home from a smelly pit into a field of roses. Or whatever scent you buy.

For the Glade Expressions Fragrance Mist, I went with the Cotton and Italian Mandarin. The holder is really inventive. It’s hide the ugly bottle so  you have leave it out as part of your decor and spritz a bit when you want to smells something other than wet dog, or when someone makes a surprise visit to your house. The best part is you don’t have to buy the holder again. Just refills.

I use this product just about anytime I clean my living room. Right after I’ve dusted and vacuumed, I grab the holder and spray a good amount into the air, especially over my furniture and high-traffic areas. I also like to spray it in the morning, so when I come home from work, I feel like I’m being greeted at the door by a clean, happy house.

For the Glade Expressions Oil Diffuser, I went with the Lavender and Juniper Berry. Yum. I went with lavender because it promotes sleep, which I need. I put the oil diffuser in our master bedroom. We have tall cabinets on either side of the bed so I put one up there.

I envision my room as a sanctuary for Mama. My husband is completing a bedroom set he made for us that included a complete overhaul, new cabinets for clothes and a custom-designed bed built right in our garage. I have new sheets, new blinds and new paint on the wall. My goal was to keep it calm, clean and just for us. And while most days there are toys and books that make their way into our peaceful palace, we try. And the Oil Diffuser just makes it feel that much more adult. It doesn’t smell like the living room, the kids rooms or the bathrooms. It has a scent all it’s own. A clean and relaxing one at that. I love when I get in bed at night, I can smell the crisp, sweet smell tinging the air in my bedroom. Heavenly.

The best part? It has a neat little design that fits in just about anywhere. And it doesn’t require any batteries to keep the smell drifting through your home.  Like the spray, you just buy a refill cartridge when the first runs out. Try different scents!

As winter comes and we spend less time with the windows open, I know the dog smells, kid scents and cooking odors will start to permeate every area of our house. I plan to stock up on Glade Expressions to keep it smelling the best I can. And I want to help you do the same. Enter my giveaway for a Glade Expressions coupon to get one of these products free.

  1. Do I have to, lol? I guess I’d have to say my kitchen…with the constant flow of dirty dishes & trash, plus the dog hanging out & eating in there..

  2. The dog is beautiful – is it a Newfoundland? I have a Malinois, that is much less hair (and much less dog), but he also smells, even though not too much.

    1. Yes, he’s a Newfie. His name is Simon. Dogs with lots of hair just smell, but we won’t trade him for anything!
