Have you ever wished you could zoom in even closer with your camera phone? Do you want to capture those details on flowers, bugs or even a blade of grass? Easy-Macro helps with that. And I have TWO to give away.
The Easy-Macro is basically a rubberband that fits around your camera, making it versatile and able to fit on pretty much every camera. I used it on the Samsung Galaxy SIII and it worked just fine.
The Easy-Macro has a small concave plastic lens on the band that fits over the camera hole on the phone. The Easy-Macro provides 4X magnification of the image on the camera. I found it worked best to 1) turn off the flash and 2) NOT use the zoom function on the phone. Instead, move the phone toward the object and adjust as necessary until the subject becomes clear and in focus.
The photos were pretty good for what this product is and costs. There is no software to make this work. The Easy-Macro, which runs $15 from the Easy-Macro website, comes on a credit-card sized sheet that easily slips into a wallet so that it can be carried anywhere.
I found that in order to get the crispest, sharpest pictures, it’s important to keep the Easy-Macro as clean as possible. Any finger-prints cause the image to looks smudged and blurry.
I have two Easy-Macros to give away! Enter my contest below and earn your way to a unique phone accessory. The contest it open through Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced and contacted through e-mail. Disclaimer: I was provided an Easy-Macro for review purposes, but the thoughts and opinions expressed here are my own.
I’ve heard good things about this and wanted to give it a try!
I don’t think a phone camera can replace the real thing! Not yet, anyway!
I love both my iPhone and regular camera. I don’t think that my phone will ever take over for the camera though!
